Sink Waste
Sink Waste Fittings for the Basin
A sink waste is the plug and outlet fitted into the bottom of a basin, and it is chosen by the basin, not by the tap. A basin with an overflow hole takes a slotted waste so the overflow can drain; a basin with no overflow takes an unslotted waste so nothing leaks into the cabinet below. Fit it hand-tight on its seals, since over-tightening against ceramic cracks basins.
